abrupt slow down

i was running 80 m/h when i saw an integra running in my left side so i decided to go after him and i did it, but when i almost reach 100 m/h i feel like a abrupt loss power in engine and i saw my gauge going down fom 100 to 60 so decided to go slow down what do u think guys what happen that time. is that mean that my car cant run 100 miles/h got ex civic 2000 with 130k miles w/ SRI and full catback magnaflow,?just curious .

Sounds like a fuel issue to me. Assuming a CEL did not occur, I would check the fuel filter and then the fuel pump. Your car should run all day at that speed with no ill effects. Your pocketbook might become lighter paying all the tickets, however.

damn dude you got me! That sucks way bad. with that car you should have no problem going 100 m/h. My old accord would get up to 110 until the computer cut the power but it didn't deaccelerate like that it just prohibited me to go over.. My buddies Nissan has the same problem, once he gets to a certain speed it'll kick then start to deaccelerate and he's taken it to a couple of people and they've replace the intake manifold and some other **** and it still does it. I have no Idea and unless you got a good mechanic you might have to stay under 100. Bumer dude.

Damn only 110 in an accord? I got the newer civics to 130 mph before it cut off. I had my friends cop radar so no tickets for me but Ill never do it again cause it was scary as hell but fun too cause I was flying.
