ARGH Stupid women drivers
 

Argh. So, earlier on today as I was driving down the road and was coming up to an intersection with stop signs for the traffic perpendicular to me. It's a fairly blind corner. Anyhow, I'm still driving along when all of a sudden this stupid women in a Ford explorer blows her stop sign, turns left, and goes pretty much right into my lane. I slam on the brakes and veer to the right when I hit the gravel on the side and BANG. My front right wheel gets slammed into the curb. The woman speeds away so I couldn't get her plate. Now my rim is sliced up (luckily not bent) and my alignment is all out of whack. Bah.

By the way, I don't hate all women drivers (some are very good) but the vast majority in my town... Well... Suck.

Women drivers are not on my best side to.I have been in 7 wrecks in my life and I was the passenger when they were driving.I don't want to be a male showvenist pig but I don't think they pay as much attention as men do.

agreed!! i've driven with my g/f and i am amazed that she hasn't been in a car accident yet...she's doing her make up, changing cds, yelling on the cell phone and talking to people in the back seat...i am scared for my life when i drive with her! haha

this is a good reason why you should always offer to drive if you're in a relationship. not to mention, you have that much more excuse to keep your car clean.

plus, on top of all that, you get to drive your civic!! heck yeah, babe, I'll drive...lets go!

also, I should add that men are stereotypically more reckless about risky driving

women, however, are more stereotyped with distraction...

haha yeah dude i know what you mean...this was one of the few times when i got her to pick me up while taking my car to the shop and whatnot...agreed with your latest post as well, i do know some good girl drivers and i think its awesome if girls know stuff about cars, huge turn on!

Dude I hate to say it but you shouldn't have swerved, if she would have hit u then her insurance would have to pay to fix your car instead of you now having to pay for whats broken. As long as u guys were going slow (I'm assuming that you were because it was near a stop sign) then no one would have any serious injuries.

i hate to say it, but women aren't stereotyped for being distracted while driving, it's actually a fact that they are easily distracted in most situations. while men are more stereotyped of driving wrecklessly, while men drive aggresively, they usually also concentrate even more in that particular situation.

I, too, agree with the fact that women spend too much time talking on the phone and putting stickers on their kids' sports on their rear window rather than paying attention to the road.

Had I hit her I'd have probably been pretty badly injured. Add to the fact that:
1. My car probably would have been totalled (she was probably doing around 40km/h, I was doing around 50 before I hit the brakes). Note that only she had a stop sign, not me.
2. I wouldn't have got anywhere near as much as I paid for the car, and buying cars back in Canada is a pain and not even feasible sometimes

I don't know about you, but I'd rather have to get a wheel realignment and balancing rather than the above.

Actually, there are some boys behind the wheel that scare me......but you're all right.....girl drivers are WAY worse. I can't stand them either.

i know what your saying, i had my ex pick me up once when my civic was on stands waiting for new LCA's to finish my suspension install...and shes going 75 on the interstate (not bad) but then shes talking to her friend in the back...well yelling cuz she just turned up the crappy stock system to about....well to loud. semi changes lanes and shes not paying attention, good thing i yelled "LOOK OUT" and she calmly turns to look at me, goes..."what....****" and eats the brakes...then like 5 miles later i was doing "zippo tricks" with her moms zippo that was out of fluid, and she starts screaming at me to stop before i catch her car on fire...lol i just chuckled. that was the last time i let her drive me...other than when she drove my civic for about 2 miles...i told her to shift at about 4k.... shes like "hell no, that will kill your car!" i was like "no...this isnt your moms POS escort, i shift at about 5500 or 6k when im getting on the interstate...maybey 7k when im racing...redline starts at 7, you will be plenty fine at 4k." but hey, she liked my ehaust;)......good thing my new girlfriend cant drive stick.....i dont think ill let anyone but my best friend drive my car...and thats only cuz ive known him since 2nd grade, and i tought him how to drive stick before i could even get my permit....and not in a gay way either...i know some one will comment like that.

well in the states were you can wipe your butt with car titles if you have the cash....their insureance has to pay the value of your car...or damages....and if you have full coverage...alot of times they will throw in some money so you can get a new/nicer car if you only get the minimum from the other company.

Unfortunately here I'd get the minimum value for my car (aka stock) and would lose everything in it like the B16A swap, suspension, etc.

haha i agree with the statement that they dont pay as much attention. when my girlfriend first started driving she luckily avoided many wrecks but she would always forget to signal before changing lanes...she also neglected to check her mirrors or over her shoulder...and she wants an escalade the blind spot on that is bigger than the pricetag....darn caddies. some women are great drivers though, but all of you women must admit...some women make the rest of you look very very...very bad.

It's just a writen testand hell if I know, she has read the book like 2 or three times and she fails when I read less than half of it and passed my first try.

There is a girl in my math glass that can't get her license becuase when she took the driving test SHE HIT A PARKED VAN.
