Auto to manual swap on my 99 ex

Hey, i got a 99 civic ex SOHC vtec with just about 100,000 miles on it. Its my daily driver and Being that my other car is a 09 SI i hate driving the auto every day and its so boring. I was wondering if it was worth it to switch it to manual. I have a guy that told me he can do the whole swap no strings attatched for 800 dollars. The car is in great cosmetic shape and is a very clean. Does anyone think its worth it?

You'd need a different transmission, pedals, shift linkage, a new clutch flywheel and pressure plate, hydro clutch lines and master cylinder, ecu and other stuff. It's fairly involved.

I'd say not worth it. Maybe if it was to be a project car.

All of that would be included in the 800 Dollars

Oh, I read it wrong. Lol.

That's cheap. It's a lot of work. If the ex is in good shape and you have plans for it, then do it.

Find out where the transmission came from.

$800 is a decent price IMO. Just make sure that all parts he is putting on are brand new, and not used from the donor car (clutch/flywheel etc)
