do you enjoy youre job, are you happy with your career choice?

the only reason i ask this is back when i was in high school. all of them seemed to hate it. a lot. we did job shadowing and all that. and there was a large number that seemed to really hate it.

i think it would be cool to be able to fix your own vehicles without any help whatsoever.

When i first started at the dealer i loved it. When new cars came in you got to take them for a drive to make sure everything was good to go. I guess the only cars that were fun were the GTO's and the corvette's. But i soon began to hate the job. You never knew what kind of pay check you would be getting week to week. Book rate really sucked when it was slow in the shop.
I guess the good part was that i learned alot! And that will stay with me forever. I now work at a machine shop working anywhere from 40 hours a week to 72 hours. I always know what how much im going to bring home at the end of the week.

im happy with my decision, i mean yes there are sometimes when im workin on a pain in the ***, never should have offered to work on this pain in the butt car days lol, but for the most part i make damn good money ( i work for myself) and i can go work for a few hours and take the rest of the day off and make a couple hundred. i like it cause i work on my time and im able to do what i want when i want. there are sometimes i make really good money and get backed up, and there are sometimes when i have no work at all, but my wife also works and we have her paychecks to fall back on just in case.
