Belt fell off while driving.

So i was driving back to Napa from OaklandInternational this morning and i hear a thud and my car jolts on the highway. I thought i hit a pothole in the ground, no big deal. I keep driving and everything is normal. I noticed after about 10 minutes that when i change lanes that my steering wheel feels stiffer, but nothing very noticeable. When i pull into the parking lot at school, it feels like i have no power steering at all. When i got out of the car, i looked underneath for leaking fluid, check my suspension, etc. When i pop the hood, i notice that there is a belt laying on top of my A/C and a small wheel hanging between the power steering pump and resevoir. Apparently when i was driving, the thud was my belt rolling off of the crank. Both pieces were completely detached, but stayed under my hood for 20 miles on the highway!

Yeah it was my power steering belt. I just got done trying to fix it. I took out the power steering pump, driver side wheel, and pulled back the splashguard to expose the crank. The wheel the belt fits around didn't fit over the pump correctly so i bent the connections as close as possible and refit the whole assembly. Turned the engine on and the damn thing popped off again. I'm just gonna probably buy one used, cause the wheel i have is too warped.

Haha, damn i'm stupid. Looking for a new power steering pump, i noticed the wheel is connected to the pump as 1 piece. The metal from the wheel snapped, there was no way to fix it in the first place.
