bleeding seals
Not sure if I've even used the correct description and if I'm in the correct room for this story, but here it is anyway. I have a new 2017 Honda Civic Coupe LX and have noticed that whenever there is any kind of moisture e.g., car wash (brush-less), rain or snow there is a "black" ooze from my rear view mirrors, door knobs. Can anyone tell me what is causing this? I will attach some pics of just what I'm talking about and thank you all for your help! Besides who wants to be driving a nice looking car with black streaks...not me.

Not sure what a door knob is, the inside handle?
Could the stuff on the mirror just be condensation? Does it go away? Check the sunroof drains, windscreen seal. |
It's more than likely caused by a product the dealer or last owner used on the trim. Just keep washing and it will go away. I have an 05 Civic and daughter has a '12 and neither of them have this problem. Keep washing. Good luck.
