Broke 300 miles on one tank '00 Civic Ex
I've had the car for 2 years now and have filled it up regularly between 250-275, but today I got it over 300. The needle fluctuates so much when it gets that low that I'm scared to see how far I can go without refilling. My car usually takes an extra second to start when it gets under 1/4 tank so I try not to keep it low for long.
Funny thing is when I filled it up it was my record high $38 tank with 9.747 gallons. My car has a 12 or 13 gallon tank so I'm not sure why my fuel gauge fluctuates that much with 2-3 gallons left.

I usually get 250-275 to a tank before it's time to fill up... my record is something like 330 miles, but I had to put some gas in it to get it to start so I could go fill it up lol... does that still count?[8D]

I've gotten 400 miles on my '00 VP auto sedan. I'm usually around 360-380 though, likely because of shorter trips and more city driving. All city, I get a bit over 300 miles, unless it's all short trips in cold weather. Then it dips below 300 miles sometimes.
On a '00, you should have a "Low Fuel" warning light turn on before running out...if it works. Barring that, put a small gascan in the trunk to test your full range.
I typically fill up with 10-11gal, but the car will hold around 12gal.

ya 250miles is pretty standard. 300 for mix driving and 350 if you do a road trip and dont speed to much. more if you dont run the AC or drive with the wind
i still have yet to fully test my gas gauge.... i want to know how low the needle will go when cruising before it completly stops....... i just have yet to slap a can of gas in the trunk to test it out.
my dad says its stupid BUT its good to know how accurate your needle actualy is! my dads old oldsmobile cutless supreme i drove afew times and once the needle JUST VERLY touched the first red line and it died and would not start up! luckely i was close to friends house and i used some of her dads lawnmower gas enough to get to the gas station.LOL and a few times i was driving with my dad and he was about to touch the red and he was gonna push it... at least until i told him it WILL DIE if it touches that first red mark so he filled up and we didnt have a problem.
