Considering buying used 2005 Honda Civic LX with high miles. Advice?
Hey, my wife and I have been searching for a good deal on a second car for me to take to work.
We have found a 2005 Honda Civic LX for $5900. The catch? It already has 150,000 miles on it because the guy that owned it drove 100 miles to and from work every day. It also has some of the wear and tear you would expect to see on a car with that many miles. There are lots of spots where the paint has been chipped away on the bumper and very front of the hood. There are also a couple small spots of rust. Otherwise, the car is pretty immaculate. The interior is dealer clean and the rest of the paint and body are very nice. Should we take this deal or not? See our requirements below for what we are looking for in a car right now.
The main requirements we were looking for is low price ($5-7k), reliability (needs to last at least another 100k miles), and fuel economy. We have mostly been looking at mid-sized sedans and came across
Thanks for any help or advice!
