Default Couple of things

Well first off I have I believe what to be is a hydro tranny I can not find the vin on it and did not really pay much attention when getting it from a friend. He does not recall what it was and the sticker use to be on there but I ruined it on accident, all I can see on the casing is ysk-2 now I am wondering if that were to help or if I will in all terms have to open and count teeth. Just wondering if ysk-2 is on all cases or just hyrdos possibly. Just basically looking to find out how to tell difference between cable and hydro trans, just want to make sure I am putting in a Hydro. Alright next deal is that I have been reading on the tire reviews and researching a but. I am wondering what tires would be good for more traction under 10lbs boost. I was looking at the Nitto Neo Gen and the Yokohama PARADA Spec-2 Ultra High Performance tires. Any input or what you have ran with good traction under boost for decent price, not looking at drag slicks or anything fancy yet. Thanks

It's very easy to tell when you open the hood. Cable clutch system has a big cable that goes from the clutch pedal, over the top of the engine, to the clutch lever on the front of the transmission. Hydraulic has a hose and a hydraulic cylinder on the front of the transmission and a master cylinder with small reservoir on the firewall in front of the clutch pedal.

Yes I understand that but I was wondering if the transmission I am going to put in is hydro for sure. I was wondering if there was a distinctive way to tell if it was on the transmission I have out now before I put it in and find I can not use it

If the clutch lever on the outside swings up and down, it's for cable. If it pushes from side to side thats hydro. The hydro transmission has a large hole around the clutch lever that will be covered by the rubber boot.
