CVT Trans

One of my friends mentioned that some Honda auto trans are only good for 100k ..
I have a 2004 Civic with CVT... and was wondering for those of you that have CVT,.. Have you've had any issues ( they extended CVT warranty to 100 k two years ago due to class action or DOT concerns....what every ones experiences?

ps I have 144 k on mine and was thinking of trading it in:(

My immediate family has had nothing but trouble with Honda CVT's (and CVT's on other cars) and personally I would never buy a car with one. You may get better gas mileage but the maintenance/replacement cost will offset any potential gain. Any time there was a problem, nobody wanted to work on it because it was too complicated and basically said you had to replace.

They started having problems with theirs around 130,000mi. Good luck!
