Default D16A6 engine question

Hi all,

**************This message was with wrong definition but I decided to leve it as it is*****************
************** ONLY THE SUBJECT WAS CHANGED TO-> D16A6 ENGINE QUESTION*****************
************** YES THE ENGINE IS D16A6 *****************

I am thinking of buying a civic with b16a6 engine ( Si ) .
As I see the specs it is 108hp 9.1:1 engine , but the guy told me that it is 125 hp 10:1 engine .
So it is possible the engine to be with a head from engine like d16y8 . Maybe the guy bought this car from somebody
who tuned it up a little bit.

I have two/three questions.

1-> When the compression is 10 and if the engine is with it's original head the compression is out of the specifications-Does it means that it is in
bad condition or something else...?:|
2->Is it possible the pistons to be changed and this to be the reason for the compression 10:1.
3->Maybe the main question.->What should I look for in the electronics/mechanics to understand is the engine with a head from another engine.\

I am an electroncs engineer and do not understand a lot of engines so I am asking you
On the other side I plan to buy a honda civic(they are cheap here in BG) and will try to put a PCB with a microcontroller an to control the engine
with software written by myself , so if you can give me some links about the mathematics of the electronics(math functions) I will appreciate this.

With the hardware I do not expect to have problems .

Buy for now.

PEACE ALL AROUND THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vlad

vlaladim, what the hell are you trying to say?? Anyways, no it is not a D-series head, if you have a B16, only b-series heads can go on it, just like d-series blocks only accept d-series heads. Okay if you truely do have a A6, ive heard they are rare, they are rated as the same as A1 and A2, around 160hp, so if he's saying 125, hes either lying about the motor, or its f**ked up. As far as being able to decipher which head is on there, someone with a little more experience with B-series help me out.

First of all thank you for the collaboration

The post is with wrong name it must be d16a6 engine question , not(D16B6 engine question) ,
I was at work and wrote the message very fast.

So the engine is d16a6 and the guy is saying it is 125hp with 10:1 compression.
As I know it is non VTEC engine and the specifications are 108 hp for d16a6.

Now I hope that my question is clear.
What you think?, Is the engine in bad condition? , Is it tuned up*something like changed head*
or it is with changed electronics?
As I know it is not the original engine it is from CRX(year~88-90).

PEACE :|
