Does the LX Civic 08 have VTEC?
 
I have been hearing from a few of my friends that base civics DX, LX do not have VTEC whereas only the SI models do. Is this true?

All the new civics have i-vtec.

dx/lx and ex have i-vtec but its not like the si dx/lx and ex have reverse i-vtec for gas economy

What is the difference between the vtec the LX has compared to the ones SI has?

lx is made for ecomony SI is for performance.

I see, but VTEC still kicks in at higher RPMs right? No matter LX or SI

Nope the si kicks in in higher rpms, but the dx lx and ex are reversed. It kicks in when your below 3000 rpms i beleive

yea i have an fg and at about 3 grand i can feel it kick in.
