Can anyone tell me if installing after market halo headlights fry my alternator and battery, I have had 2 alternators and 2 batteries cook in the last 4 months.

installing halo headlights will not fry your battery. how did you wire them up?

We just unplugged the factory lights and plugged the halos in. We are learning as we go and this is what we were told to do from the seller. But something is causing the alternator and battery to drain.

are you talking about wiring for the headlight or the halo ring part of the headlight?

Leanne 2001 05-31-2009 02:44 PM

The halo lights are disconnected, the rest of the headlights are using the factory wiring for the headlights including the running lights, they are H1 headlights. I bought them from a company on e-bay.

You can consider that setup to be the same as having stock lights. They should have no effect on the car's electrical system. Something else is wrong.
