engine crank sensor harness shredded!!!
 

soo, i took my civic into the shop today to get the check engine light checked out, now it turns out that the engine crank sensor harness at one time was not properly secured and it shredded in half!!! i been driving unkowing this for months, and reading on the symptoms, i dont really have any of them that are that bad, no stalling ect....the part installed which i dont want to mess with is 690 taxes incl.... i have to do this right?

well I know what your talking about mine did the same thing after swapping the GSR motor in I just said **** it and left it be. So i dont think it would be a problem

really? cuz that can hurt the fuel mileage, timing, ect? cant it

The sensor is used to detect misfires. It's not really HARD to replace it but it's a ton of labor. If you don't want to fix it properly there is a wiring hack you can do.... search for "CKF bypass trick"
