Hey i was wondering if there is a way for me to find out exactly where my engine came from. Its a b16a but i want to know exactly what car and year its from and if its from an american car or a japan car. if you can help that would be great

 

I take it the motor was swapped in?

 

I'd like to know that too just to make sure, is there any location of the engine code on the car?

its hard to tell which body it came from.......the crx sir, civic sir as well as the integra xsi came with that engine. there is a date code on the head right above the #3 exh runner that will tell you what year the engine is.

Exhaust runner (manifold) usually on the front of the engine.

 

your engine possibly have been built in swindon in england that where alot of honda engines are built and alot of the jdm engines were built here, mite be a long shot but just some info i heard off of a honda technician
