F*cking puddle

Ok first of all let me start by saying i had nowhere to go and had to try to got through this puddle/lake. I was making a right so i went to the middle of the road where there was the least amount of water. When i made the right i guess my intake was under water, it had to be on the passenger side, so im almost out of the lake and my car turns off. i coast out off the puddle and my cousin and i push the car to the middle of the road because its one of the roads ur not suppose to drive down. i take my intake off see water got into the throttle body, lucky me. we notice a parking lot to someones trailor so we push it across three lanes wait for a tow. when i tried to start the car all it did was click, it sounded like my cousin's neon when his starter went. then i noticed all my pre sets are back to the defaults. so im praying all thats wrong with it is a shortage, but if my engine is hydrolocked how much will it cost to have it fixed? cause right now its sitting at my mechanics shop. i saw on civic club some ghetto ways to fix it but i dont know if it will work.

if your car is hydrolocked, you will need a new motor.

This is why I don't play on putting an intake on the bottom. ;/

take the plugs out and see if you can get the engine to turn over if you have a M/T try to push start just to see if motor will turn over. if you have A/T or if you wanna try to turn the harmonic pulley to see if the engine will turn.

...And this is why you don't drive through deep puddles.

Well then this is why you don't drive through lakes.

go w/ the cai.... the sri does look cooler but the performance increases are very marginal...
the whole driving through puddles thing is WAY over stated as well... whens the last time you had the front of your car submerged in water?
splashing through big puddles is not going to submerge the filter and water splashing against the filter is not a problem.. for one, it has to get sucked up a long ways to get all the way to the intake manifold (a trip that its not going to succeed in)...
but if you're completely paranoid and drive though lakes for laughs, they make some bypass valves as well.

lmfao and this came from a thread he made not to long ago about cai.

LMAO. Pretty much everyone in that thread said get an SRI. What did he do? Got a CAI.

#1 rule

if you are stupid enough to install a cai get a bypass valve also
