i was wondering, how does a performance fuel rail differ from a oem fuel rail, i mean arent they the same?? both purposes is to deliver fuel to the engine right?

They have the potential to deliver more fuel to the engine. Potential being the key word. To me a fuel rail is a supporting mod, supporting things such as; turbo, super, built motor. Things like that.

ohk well i got the aem fuel rail but the purpose is the inside of the fuel rail the demensions are bigger wich allows the fuel rail to fill up with more fuel then allowing fuel to get to the injecters quicker..i didnt feel a difference with just the rail with out the injectors or fuel pump for the turbo...

RE: fuel rail question

the ONLY time you acutally need an AEM Fuel rail is with boost. Other than that your really doont need it, although it does look good. You wont gain any power from it, because just supplying more fuel does notihng for you other than make you run rich (unless you are boosted of course). And also, the only way to actaully supply more fuel is get an A/F computer or chip your OBD1 ECU, which is compltely unnecessary with bolt ons. It looks real nice in the engine bay, but you should probably save the moeny for somethin else.
