Gas Cap

My gas cap for my 01 civic ex 2dr was recently stolen from my car. My dad has an old 88 chevy van that he hasn't rode in for months. I took his gas cap and used it for mine, fits perfectly, snaps in place, works well. Any hidden problems that can happen from doing such a little thing? Also, I feel sort of like a prick to take his gas cap, he knows about it though, but I still feel bad. I know if you don't have a gas cap and water goes in your gas tank, it F's it up. But his van has a cover. So I want to get his(which is now on my civ) back to him ASAP. Do they sell gas caps in stores? I've never really needed one or noticed them in any A and A auto stores.

walmart and most other automotive stores carry them for your car.

Ahh ok dude, thanks for the quick reply. Normally I would know about such a small problem, but I just don't remember ever seeing one in stores.

Yeah, most autoparts stores sell caps. Buy a locking one so it doesn't get stolen or your gas doesn't get siphoned.
