Why's that? To keep snow from building up in there?
Known honda rust area...I do it so there isn't more in the spring than already is there.

everyone needs to just buy a winter beater and garage there civic in a warm garage.

My car was rust proofed last winter and i only got it this july and it is still nice and oily. so i dont have to worry about that this year
My only advice is to make sure your ebrake works, like amg said make for a lot more fun. what i do for a tire combination is leave my all seasons on the back and some winter tires on the front,

im only gonna drive my honda when the roads are clear & dry --- for snow driving i'll use my 87 caprice crapper with 4 studded snow tires

Good rubber floormats..!!! If you have the cloth mats they get destroyed from salt off the boots.

Oh.. and a nice scraper.

You need at least two scrapers. Your passengers need to chip in.
