Ok now that the motor is blown as in my other post i have since taken the motor out, removed the block and head. I am now gathering the parts neccassary to rebuild my motor for boost. I have a guy that said he could rebuild my tranny for 300-350 including parts, my question is will this tranny hold up to what i want to do. I would also put in a new proformance clutch and lightweight flywheel. but how much power can the stock tranny hold. Im also need to replace the pistions and might be getting a good deal on a set but the stock compression ratio is 9.6:1 and I was thinking of going to a 9 or 9.5:1 how much of a difference is there on say a t3/t4 50 trim on the D16y8? I will post pictures soon as I figure out how. lol as this is my first build.

ok so I guess i need to go with forged pistons just to be on the safe side down the road, so Ill probably just go with the 9.0:1
