Could someone please point me in the right direction on this... my throttle shuts out on my 98 EX MT on warm idle due to the fact that my throttle stop screw is missing and has been missing since I bought the car... yea its the DO NOT TOUCH one... I have been looking hard for one of the screws and cannot find one... I was hoping maybe someone had one layin around on a throttle body maybe that wasnt being used, or if someone knows where I can order one without replacing the whole freaking thing... thanks for any help!

 

Well the first thing that comes to mind is to go to your local honda dealership, but as you said they may have you buy the whole thing. The second possibility is to search for junkyards like a Pick-a-Part. There you can just walk in with the tools you'll need take the parts and if they charge you anything at all it won't be much.

 

At the dealer, you'd have to buy the whole throttle body as a unit.

Most hardware stores have a cabinet full of small metric screws and nuts. You could also try a hobby shop as those kinds of screws are used on model cars and airplanes.

 

SWEET! I got really lucky and scored a throttle body for 15 bucks woo hoo! and they threw in glove box! 2 problems solved!
