Headlight bulbs issues

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum. I have a 2008 Honda Civic EX. I have been placing Luminics cool blue headlight bulbs in the vehicle for about two years now. I am on my third set of low beams in two years. I seem to be blowing the bulbs a much a higher rate than I am suppose to.

Anybody else have any similar issues with these or similar aftermarket bulbs?

I am debating getting an HID kit and/or HID bulb housings. Anybody already do this and would recommend it?

Thank you for your help in advance.

touching the bulbs with your hands can kill the life of the bulbs. a popular brand of aftermarket hid's is by ddm tuning. thats what i'm using, 35 watts 4500k. there are a lot of people that is going to tell you aftermarket hids in stock halogen headlights, is blinding, stupid, and illegal. and the only way to have hids would be to do a retrofit. some regular halogen bulb that i've tried and like are the nokya cosmic white and sylvania silverstar

maybe the wattage is too high so your bulbs burn out faster. our the bulbs are sucky. check the wiring make sure its not melted, like my old car after using aftermarket headlight bulbs.

I used to run those exact same bulbs in my Prelude. These types of bulbs DO NOT LAST LONG. The longest lasting bulbs I have found are Honda OEM ones. Do what I did and do an HID retrofit.

for some of the best halogen bulbs and a nice appearance, check out Nokya Cosmic White bulbs. They're $23.50 shipped a pair on eBay, and they are great. Mine have been lasting forever, and the visibility is great. Light output is white with a small hint of blue.
