Help identifying 2 more harnesses/sensors

Okay so i got the other 14 plugs identified but now i found two more when i re ran all the wires. Both are on the back of the block which is a b16, i am pretty sure they both are related to oil.The gray plug in the pictures is connected right below the intake manifold as you can see, the problem is the wire coming off it is not connected to anything if someone could tell me what it is then hopefully i will be able to figure out where it should be wired to. The second connector in the picture is black and is just sitting there but has no where to be plugged into, also in the pictures i circled stuff that i wasn't sure what it is. The wire colors coming off the connectors is also in the description in the pics. thanks for all the help guys, here is the link

I am pretty sure that the oil pressure switch is circled in red in slide #2.

Is there an oil temperature sensor?

Where on the engine are slides #1 and #2 taken?

they are both on the back of the block number 1 is right below the intake manifold, on the top of the pic you can see the intake mani, the 2nd slide is basically the same spot it is the same plug that is circled in green on the third pic it is just a different view. So i am thinking that maybe that black connector in pic 2 and 3 is for the oil pressure switch. Since you think that is what is circled in red, i think they just plugged the hole with that brass fitting instead of putting the switch in. Just out of curiosity is that a plug or something circled in blue in the third pic what is that for,

I can't see the pictures but your knock sensor should be screwed into the block somewhere back there too.

joelmatt89 02-04-2009 01:39 PM

im pretty sure i know where the knock sensor is, that connector is just mounted to the block isn't it, the unidentified gray connector is connected to a sensor that is in the block right below the 2nd intake from the driver side

You sure slide 1 isn't the knock sensor, as mk says? The knock sensor has a Red/Blu wire (and a Brn/Blk ground wire).

By the way, for the stock B16a2 engine, the oil pressure switch is connected to Yel/Red wire.

okay yeah so the the black connector is definitely the oil pressure switch, but the other gray one only has a blue/red wire even though it is a 2 wire connector, although when i googled it the pictures of the knock sensors looked exactly like what i am looking at, so then what is the plug that i thought was the knock sensor from that other thread here is a pic

of what i thought was the knock sensor, the picture is looking down on the engine and the plug is right next to the alternator, i don't know the wire colors, but the wires run down and then it seems like they go into the oil pan although i can't see because it is behind the pulley or whatever that is called.

EDIT: Okay after looking at diagrams for my engine and google shopping im pretty sure what i thought what the knock sensor is actually the ckf sensor, in which case i am not sure how the ckf sensor should be connected does that go to the ecu, from what i read my ecu won't throw a code for that not being plugged in, can i hook it up to my ecu, on the pinout i can't tell which this goes to i see like four things for ckp, i gues i am wondering what is this for like how will it affect my engine

hmm i have never gone to a mechanic in my entire life and i definetly don't plan on doing so now for this, but thanks for the suggestion i got it figured out i have been told that i can just ignore the ckf cause my ecu won't read it even if it was plugged in
