Rough idle when cold!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi guys.dont knowwhether am in the right forum but i have a lil problem with my civic. whenever i start it and the engine is cold it has a low rough idle, especially in the morning. i would have to give it a lil throttle to stay on. but when it reaches normal operating temperature it stops and the idle is fine. any reason what might be causing this? oh its a 97 hb with a jdm b16a swap BTW. any help would be appreciated thanx!!!!

RE: Rough idle when cold!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like a problem with the Fast Idle Valve. Try to clean port where air bypasses from the throttle body to intake manifold. If problem persists, do the same with the EACV and also try adjusting the idle screw. The 88-90 Civic manual at the link in my signature may also be helpful.
