Sorry to bother you guys but i have a quick question...
How can i tell the differnce between 1998 and a 2000 civic coupe>?
When the tail light and rear bumpers are cusotmized and the itnterior is all custome, and also the front has cusotome headlights, and f-2 fenders with a wierd front bumper....>>?

The tail lights, head lights and trunk lid were re-done in 99.

The center of the dash where the stereo and ac controls are different too.

 

It doesn't matter anymore, any difference worth having between the 96-98 EJ8 and 99-00 EJ8 have been thrown away by the owner. It's the same damn car otherwise.

 

look at the 10th character of the vin number. if it's a W, it's a 98

 

grill and headlights changed between 98 and 99

all 4 door tailights fit all door taillights between 96 and 00, same goes for 2 Door and Hatches

Also, all side skirts and rear bumpers fit EVERY Civic betwen 96 and 00

 

WF is an EJ8?

outside of vin number and center dash layout, there isn't one if the real identifiers have been changed (front bumper/tail lights)

center dash on 98 will have sliders for heat control across the bottom, 99 has dials I think?

 

99 has ***** yeah
