Honda certified used car? question
I'm buying a 03 Si from a Ford dealer for 13,900 with 27,00 miles on it. But it's not certified. The dealer said that they could send it to Honda for me to get it certified. So i have 3 questions
1, is it worth 800 bucks to get the extra warranty? 2, Will they certifie the car if it doesn't have the stock airbox? this car comes with a neuspeed intake. 3, is it worth certifing it if i plan to do bolt on mods such as I/H/E, will this Void my power train warranty? Any help would be great. I'm really looking forward to driving a Si Oh one last thing. Is the insurance going to be a lot more for an Si then a 2dr Ex. I have a 03 2dr Ex right now. And i was thinking i would be paying a little more, but i don't know how much. I would just like an idea before i call up the insurance company monday. |
RE: Honda certified used car? question
i say NO to all 3
1- extended warranty---read the fine print --example :they dont cover things like seals , if you blow an axle -because the boot ripped--well thats a seal & they wont cover it . or if your front crank seal was leaking & lost all the oil & locked up your motor --oh well take the $800 & keep it in the bank --if anything happens you'll have a few $$ hanging around 2-certified a car ---what are they certifing--that it has a motor & an ash tray?--i think it means that all the parts are on the car & not in the trunk 3-- no & not sure also a car with only 27k on it should'nt need anything but regular maintainance if there was giong to be any problems with engine or tranny i think it would have showed up by now |
