hey so i just bought a 1999 canadian si (d16y8) with 180k and i wanna add more hp

but it sucks cause its an automatic

not enough to justify the price its automatic so you already have the short end of it. don't bother wasting money on bolt ons spend your money elsewhere like cosmetic or suspension upgrades because it mite be slow but you can make it ride on rails. if you must upgrade just get a universal muffler like vibrant street power no fart cans please. CorSport: Universal Parts - Exhaust - Exhaust Components - 1145 you can also find the cheapest intake you can find on ebay but replace the filter with a name brand like AEM.

An air intake and full exhaust won't make a very noticeable difference. It will definitely SOUND better, though.

D series don't respond well to bolt ons. However, they respond very well to turbos.

300psi if you push it through a McDs straw. Boost pressure means almost nothing. Boost pressure in relation to size of turbo is what matters.

Autos wont handle anything a turbo can provide for long. OP, I suggest swapping to manual.

Realize that a Canadian Si is pretty much identical to the EX sold in the USA.

The auto transmission tends to be short lived if you drive it hard-- even with a stock engine. So my recommended boost would be zero unless you convert to manual.
