Default How to tell if a car has synthetic oil in it at change time...??

I bought a used 2001 civic ex. The sticker from jiffy lube says it was time to change my oil over 300 miles ago.

We have looked at the oil and its so super clean like a nice clear yellow tint.

We changed the oil(normal 10w30) in our SUV and it was black....

Is my oil in my civic a nice synthetic stuff? Its so clean I just wonder if anyone knows?

I plan to put it in my car if it does or does not have it in it now. I have heard a lot of good things about synthetic oil.

How long can I go without a oil change with synthetic?

Thanks

theres no way to tell if you have synthetic oil in it (unless you take a sample & send to a lab )
it is the ultimate in protection - it good if you run your car hard & take long trips - synthetic doesnt break down like regular oils do -
as for myself i use regular name brand oil in my cars & trucks - change it every 3k & never had any problems
