I know that I could use a hands-free kit, but those are such a hassle.
Nobody has mentioned any issued with the transmission. They are pretty bulletproof then?

For sheer driving pleasure, I totally agree. But I am in sales, and tend to be on my cell phone all the time, and would not have fun driving, shifting, and talking on the phone.

I wouldn't be so worried about the engine, if its been looked after, doesn't leak anything and sounds sweet, it probably is sweet. I'd be worrying about that auto box. 215k on some old box that wasn't all that good at the time?!

Don't worry about the tranny. If you need an auto then get it, but even if the tranny is f'd up, they aren't that hard to come by for pretty cheap. If the guy babied the car for all 215k miles, then you could easily make it past 300k on that engine. Ask the guy if you can take a look at the engine. If it is somewhat clean and in good shape (look past all the grease that may be on there, and look for corrosion and damaged parts), then go for it. If the engine looks really bad, either don't buy it or make him lower the price. Post some pics of the engine for us.

honda trannys are as reliable as their engines...and stronger than their engines. a lot of guys runnin 400-500hp civics at 10 and 11 seconds are using stock trannys.

Don't hate me!
I went to another Honda stealer, and found a 2002 Accord with 60,000 on the clock. I am 6'3" tall, and the Accord just fit me much better. I put a deposit on it, and will be picking it up Wednesday.
Thanks for all of your input. This board looks like a great place, and I wish I could participate in it. I am a member of a motorcycling board, and all we end up doing there is fighting. This board looks like a much better place.
Thanks again, and see ya on the road.
