I have been talking to my dad a lot lately and he is telling me he wants me to get a loan to go ahead and start building my credit. I really have nothing to pay for but gas. If I get, lets say a $4000 loan, what can I afford to do with my car? I wanted to buy a d16z6 and build it and piece together a turbo kit for it. I am selling my ATV when I get home, too so thats at least another $800, so we'll say $5000. Can I build a good, reliable turbomotor for this much? I think vitaras, scat rods, zex cam, valve springs, ARP headstuds,some big injectors..etc. I want to be able to make about 300whp safely. I know thats a lot but I wont be making that much power all the time. I would like to run low boost most of the time and make like 230. On the turbo kit, I want a used(turbonetics, precision, garret, etc) t3-t4, and a used mini ram manifold (I may evenhave my dad fab one), HKS SSQ (call me a ricer, I love the way these sound), a Tial 38mm wastegate,cheapo intercooler and homemade charge piping. I know I will need help withengine management.I have a good, cleanplace to build a motor at my dad's new house and have put a few chevy motors together before, so I have some knowlege of working inside a motor but I know I will need some help along the way. I've been reading info on turbo sytstems since i got my car over three years ago and think I've learned about all there is to learn from sitting behind a screen. Do I have a snowballs chance in hell with this?
