okay so i really like those civic hatches (92-95), but i dont know much about them and I may be buying one soon...can all you who r out there give me any information that you have about them plz...thankz

finally...thanks marty...ok i c now...definitly too general...okay like the stock engines in them which were the better ones and wut do the designations mean (CX,DX, etc) and just about anything to do with the mechanics of them...anything that should be repaired or replaced once/if i get the car...i dont know much so if you know anything about the civc hb from this year it will be useful to me...thanks again marty

 

well, i've never owned a hatchie from that year( as you can see i roll in the 4dr) but i think, and don't quote me on this, the cx is the lightest. it has no power anything or power stering or ac basically its a shell and a motor. the dx may or may not have power steer and i think it has ac(my 88 hatch dx did). as for power from the motor, your best bet is to pick up an si. it has 1.6 sohc vtec pulling at about 125 horses plus u get a sunroof. the dx and cx have d15's with no vtec and have 102 hp. hopefully someone can allaborate better on what i've said or correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure about everything.

 

Well for the 92-95 hatches it went like this

CX base line model, D15B8 1.5 8V SOHC PGM-FI 1493 70hp@4500rpm 83tq@3000rpm usually didn't have power anything,
VX economy model, D15Z1 1.5 16V SOHC VTEC-E PGM-FI 1493 92hp@5500rpm 97tq@4500rpm, if i recall correctly this model did have power steering but that is it
DX Midline model, D15B7 1.5 16V SOHC PGM-FI 1493 102hp@5900rpm 98tq@5000rpm, this had an option of A/C, and has power steering, but manual windows/locks
Si Sport Model, D16Z6 1.6 16V SOHC VTEC PGM-FI 1590 125hp@6600rpm 106tq@5200rpm, has A/C and power everything, (windows, lock, mirrors, and sunroof)

The odd thing is though, my car when i check the VIN number, says taht it is a CX, but i have a D15B7, and power steering
