The system is wired correctly. I've checked it.

I took it when i came to a complete stop at a stop sign.

You still did not answer about your habbits. I'm not kidding, this is relevant to your problem, because when you turn electrical load (like fan or light) on, ECU adjusts the idle to compensate for this. If your audio system does not inform ECU it is on - you have the picture you described.

As for your tach - it is showing smth around 500 rpm LOL

Habits? okay....Once in a while i will keep the cabin fan on. =) I dont turn on the AC too much.
However, i usually drive with the headlights on during the day. =)
To keep my idle normal.

-- So it shows 500rpm? wtf.

Looks like now we are on the same page finally
Yes, this is your only option unless you recognize there is a wiring problem with your installation. You either drive with elecrical load on, or have the thing rewired so it lets ECU know when it's on.

Some people with kickin stereos will run a 2nd battery to the trunk, something dry cell, like an Optima battery, or even better one of the new Kinetic supercell batteries, that way your system sucks juice from that battery and most of your other car's electrical runs from the hood battery, a shot in the dark, but it might be worth a try.

I am planning on throwing a kinetic in mine soon as I can run the wiring, my lights dim way too much with the boom!

Yeah. A friend of mine had explained that to me...but it adds more weight to the car.

Another thing, my car's lights dont dim when i turn up the volume and the bass kicks.
Lights work fine......they might dim very very little, but you would only notice it
if you were looking straight at it.

bump....how do you inform the ECU that you have installed a stereo, because i just installed a stereo in my 94 civic ex MT and now i have a really low idle once it's warm, but funny thing is that it will still do it when i turn the head unit and both amps off so it makes me think that something else is at play here

i just got this car about 3 weeks ago for a commuter so i'm fairly new to civics but not to the turning wrenches part, so anything would be useful
