Installing single DIN stereo in 1994 Civic - Need help

2 Attachment(s)
I'm installing a brand new JSK single DIN stereo in my 1994 Honda civic DX. The car currently has a very old aftermarket cassette/radio. The old one did NOT have a sleeve or any type of support brackets. It wasn't even screwed in.

Does my new stereo need anything other than the sleeve in terms of mounting? Or will the sleeve fit so tightly that it won't need any other support or screws? I've searched the internet for some sort of aftermarket custom kit or brackets but I can't really find anything for a 1994.

I've attached a couple of pics of the opening and the new stereo. Any advice would be much appreciated. I'm about to take this thing back I'm so frustrated over this.

Single DINs are a direct fit. Put the sleeve in first and bend out some of the tabs to lock it into the hole in the dash. Then connect the wires (use a harness adapter, don't cut your harness) and push the radio into the sleeve. Before you lock it all the way in, turn it on and make sure it works OK. Try to rig something to support the back of the unit, but that is not essential. Be sure to keep the keys that unlatch the clips at the sides of the sleeve in case you need to remove it later.

Edit: Well the last guy did cut your harness anyway. Before working on the wiring, disconnect the battery to avoid blowing the fuse under the hood for the white-blue wire which is always live even with the key off.
