i want a job with something that has anything to do with cars, do detailing places hire 16 yr olds?

 

It's up to them... give it a try. I got my apprentice-mechanic job 6 months ago, I was 17.

 

uh...you could work at a car wash place...almost detailing...i always see kids my age working there

 

Got to a dealership and ask if they have any jobs washing cars. Most dealerships will hire young kids to wash and detail the cars when people buy them. Pay is horrid, but its fun work. I did it for a few months when I was 15-16 for the local Benz dealership.

 

At least you worked on nice car =P

 

umm i started valet at 17 and its the easyest and the funest job ever. and if u work at a rich place then u drive some nice as cars. i work at golf and country club and i drive some nice *** cars

 

I changed tires at Discount Tire when I was 16 and it helped my get rims and tires all the time.

 

newspaper route, beer bitch, shoe shiner, pan handler. i mean, there are options.

 

Most dealerships have 'lot boys' -- they deal mostly with the used cars scraping stickers on trade-ins, washing cars, keeping batteries charged, transferring plates, keeping cars gassed up, and doing stuff for the sales staff. Poor pay but can be fun work if you like cars because you get to drive so many different kinds of cars.

 

If your cool with your local mechanic.......sometimes they might let you watch and do small jobs.
