So it looks like I finally found a good deal on a Civic. It's an 04 Ex with 40k on the odometer. It's sliver, and has power everything. Completely stock and driven by an older gentleman.
So basically with 40k on it, it should be in great shape for a Honda, but I was wondering if there are anythings in particular that may be getting ready for replacement by now?
Already on my list of things to add are some Tein S-tech springs, can someone recommend a decent affordable shock to go with that spring? I won't be driving it hard or anything, just want something that will be able to handli the lowering.
Also the car is silver, so I think black wheels will look pretty sharp on it, I decided on some 16x6 Konig Feathers.
The stereo out of my old car will go in as well, and that consists of an Alpine 9857 head unit, 6 1/2 inch Type R Components and Coaxials, and a MRV-F450 amp to power it all.
The car.

He had told me the front bumper had been replaced and that he straightened out the radiator support himself...[:@] F that noise.

Yeah, it was super clean, and it drove really nice. It had pep too. Coming from a Trans Am, I'm not going to lie, I've made my fair share of Vtec jokes, but after experienceing it for myself, I think it's pretty badass.
Despite everything seeming fine though, I can't risk 9k on it and then 5000 miles from now have my tires worn out because the frame is bent. That would just blow.
I know I still want a Civic, and probably an EM2, just because I know I'll get carried away and start modding one if I had a D16 series car, but what are other good years to looks at? Say if I did want a D16 or another engine that took well to bolt ons?
