theres a guy at work he has a 98 mustang 4.6 with a 5 speed stock he only has a rear end for it.he said that he beat 4 bangers all the time in the track or in the streets.first of all he dont know what vtec is or ls or gsr i told him that if i put a type r head or a vtec head on my ls and some other parts in the car with no turbo or nos i would probaly beat him.i gor got to tell you guys he only races if he uses his radial tires

As I understand:

If the solution is speed: Time divided by money multiplied by a large factor on any Honda (besides the NSX) vs. any Mustang with 8 pistons from the factory.

If the mustang has a relative ammount of time or money (both?) invested he'll laugh you all the way to the bank. Even an Si would be spanked hard by a 4.6 convertable automatic.

Bona fide muscle car vs. FWD sporty 4cl car? Wasting everybody's time asking.
