a stock b18b head would be fine for those power levels, no need to over complicate things for such a modest power level.

you do realize a b18b head is non vtec right? considering the question is ls vtec, you can run a gsr head, but the b16a2 (vtec head) flows better. In my choice i would run the b16 head with b18b1 bottom end, gsr tranny if you can find one too

You guys are lame as hell, do not insult my intelligence again on something as trivial as this. I know a B18B does not have vtec. I was simply stating there is no need to go into a ls/vtec build for something as mundane as 250 to 300whp. To run a ls/vtec the proper way you need to replace all the bearings plus tap the block for the oil line for the head. And in noway is any of this going to aid you to getting to 250whp any cheaper or easier. You are going to end up with a engine that you took apart to put new bearings and studs throughout and you bought a $600 to $1300 head in the name of being able to say you have it.

B18B with a cheap *** home made turbo setup with a 16g, some decent fuel management, and a good tune will get you firmly into the mid to upper 200's on whp and you are just as well offfor alot cheaper. I know that post count and the length of membership means nothing but for the love of god I have been here for nearly 3 years(a couple other honda forums sense before forums were all the rage), I have 8000+ post on this one forum, give me a bit more credit than that.
