What is the difference fro an LSD and a non-LSD? sorry if its a dumb question just want to know

LSD = Limited SLip Differential... Which basically means, it will allow one of the wheels to spins more/faster than the other for a limited time, before engaging the clutches in the diff, and grabbing with the other wheel.. ( sorry, I tried to dumb it down as best as I could)

Non-LSD = Which ever wheel has less traction/resistance will be the one spinning with power.
