Have a 95 Honda civic ex 1.5 sohc vtec has a d15b block and a d16z6 head any suggestion on what performance parts to put in

 

How much money do you have to spend, how much power do you ultimately want to make?

about a 1000 plus and just make it faster then what it is

 

Nitrous. A grand won't get you boosted and bolt-ons really won't give you noticeable power.

I guess you could cam it for under a grand, but without an intake, header, and full cat-back exhaust it's not that useful.

 

What other mods do you have? Anything suspension related? With $1k, I would just get some nice coilovers. Possibly a rear sway bar/subframe brace set-up, too if you save just a little more.

Otherwise if you want power, either nitrous, or save for boost. N/a SOHC doesn't yield much IMO. I remember reading someone's build thread on another forum who was doing an all out re-build/upgrade on his D16. Higher cp pistons, cam, valves, etc. He spent like $3k and only made 168hp/145tq or something like that. I made about that with my stock block y8 with a JRSC on 7psi. Much cheaper in the long run I think.
