My grandfathers old Ford LTD had over 300,000 miles on it before he died. He was the original owner and serviced it religiously, so if a Ford LTD can last that long just think how long a Honda can last if its taken care of.

LMFAO I HATE THAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY TRIED SO HARD TO KILL IT!!!!!!!!!! and why did it STILL START UP AND RUN after it died a few times. LMFAO i dont think they ever realy KILLED IT..... it still had a faint pulse!!!!!!!

 

I have 280,000 miles on my Civic, I bought it new back in 97. A local dealership have a bulletin board that have pictures of high mileage cars with their owners.

Just think at around 38 mpg, I used around 7368 gallons of gas in my Civic.

 

I have 260k kms on my D16Z6 and cylinders 2 & 3 are running low comp

 

I have just over 191,000 on my '95 VX Hatch. The previous owner overheated, popped the head gasket, and warped the head, but I fixed that (along with the culprit - clogged radiator) and had a good chance to inspect the pistons/cylinder walls with the head off. There's less than 1mm of ring ridge in each of the cylinders, and nothing was scorched at all. I got lucky.

I runs like a champ now (except for the VTEC-E surging when the throttle is in that neutral point while cruising with the upshift light on) and looks great - all things considered. It's leaking a little oil (looking like an oil pan gasket - no sweat), but not too terrible.

Gonna drive the wheels off it - hopefully they'll stay on 'til 300,000.

 

its funny because pre 1990 people saw the civics as disposible cars, but now look at em

crazy I would have thought fords wouldnt go over 50k miles.

 

there was some guy that i remembered reading about that rolled over 1,000,000 miles. Honda wanted to buy it from him but he wouldnt sell it.
