I have a question. I have the slowest engine there is D16Y7. If I put cold air, catback exaust, headers and all of that other crap what do u think I will run on a srip.
What is the fastest time u seen someone got with that engine.

Stock with a header, intake, and exhaust might land you in the hi 15's if you have a manual tranny, low 16's if its AUTO.

That is not bad at all I thought it would be alot slowed. It is 5sp. What if I get aftermarket intake manifold, bigger throutle body and a chip will that make it allitle faster.

but youve already spent almost enough for a swap. and your car is about maxed out without cracking the motor open. im not knockin single slammers, but the potential HP in a dohc is worth it.

i dont know about this application, but i put an OBX header on my friends 02 civic and i thought it was a piece of crap. the lower flange had a huge lip in it that was pretty unnecessary and would hurt power pretty bad. that, along with them putting the o2 sensor holes on the far side from the wire, which made it really hard to plug it in without it hitting the wire on the header, was enough to make me not suggest OBX to anyone.
