do u want a specific motor or just any one to have the car runnin again?

i just want to get it up and running again, if i can get the d16y8, cause thats whats in it i would be happy. Guy i bought the car from has a spare for it but i cant ahold of him

what exactly is wrong with your old motor?

...NEED4SPEED... 04-19-2010 01:51 AM

yeah really... what's wrong with your car specifically? maybe we can help u figure out how to fix it instead of spendin money on a new engine... you'd probably be spendin the same or maybe less.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say he threw a rod. At least that's what I think of when someone says their engine blew up.

im not sure yet i havent had time to pull it, heres what happened i was going about 120 in 5th sitting at 4900rpms when it started tapping and overheating, i got it to stop over heating pulled off checked everything over fluids all that. headed back home and it just made a loud bang and dumped all the oil and im pretty sure i heard **** flying off. i popped the hood everything looked normal, crawled as far underneath as i could and oil pan was still intact. i cant find a whole in the block unless its underneath the intake where i cant see, im pulling the motor wednsday or thursday to try and figure it out

i gotta agree with trust... u probably blew a rod from wat u explained exactly...

take a look behind the exhaust manifold :) on the block

just buy a d16y7 or a d16y8 engine block and put your head and everthing on it.

im pretty sure i did throw a rod now, and also pretty sure i smacked a valve cause the timing looks like it advanced. thanks guys
