Hello everyone,

I own a 2005 Civic LX Sedan and the front hood cowl (base of windshield plastic/molding piece) is warping/separating from the windshield. It's been this way since I got the car in 2010. Is there a way to fix this with glue or a clip?

I tried searching the forum and google and can't find anything.

Some people may call this something else.

Also, with washing my car and raining, does water penetrate or go somewhere that can cause problems? If so, is there an easy way to get the water out.

you already posted the part you need so buy it its only 20 bucks. id say remove it and hit it with a heat gun but its cracked.

Mine isn't cracked. That was debris.

I can buy a new one, so that's not a problem. Do you or anyone know if the cowl has self sticking adhesive or is some adhesive used to make it stick.

i believe its just molded to that shape no sticky tape. my guess is engine heat and UV damage causes it to warp mine is starting to get warped also.
