need help masking windows
ok so im going to be painting my own car pretty soon, its a 00 civic ex coupe and I was wondering what the best way to tape my windshield and back window would be.
I figured I could do it one of two ways, I could either lift up that little lip of the molding that goes around the windshield and back window and slide a piece of tape in there sticky side up and then from there fold it over the molding and then cover the window with newspaper
or I can just tape sticky side down along the molding of the window making sure not to cover the paint and also not folding underneath the lip of the molding, this is the method I used when painting my old accord and the car came out nice but around the molding the paint was chipping a little bit because of the taping and thats why I was wondeirng if there was any better alternative like the one I listed above?
thanks for the help
