New engine or new ride?

Recently purchased a 99 LX auto with 179k on the odometer. I know she'll last a bit longer, but is it more cost effective to swap engines or resell at 225-250k?

Secondly, if I do swap engines will that affect the title?

Thank you for your time, and all feedback is appreciated.

Swap will not affect the title. You are not going to see a huge increase in value if you swap the motor to be honest. I would just continue driving it as along as there are no problems.

The engine can last a long time. It's the auto transmission I'd be worried about. Anyway, just do proper maintenance and drive until something goes wrong, then decide what to do from there.

I got my 96 LX auto at 188,xxxkms and it now has 190,550 on it and the only thing I find finicky is the gear shifter when putting it in park.

Thank you guys for your feedback. I appreciate it. I'll most likely end up doing the swap when the time comes, but it's difficult to find any in auto.

Anyone know of any engine sites or shops in the Pacific Northwest? It's greatly appreciated.
