Default Non power steering. questions

ok, so the civic I'm going to buy does not have power steering. I am not going to let it push me away from buying the car, because I have driven a car without powersteering before, and once you start going it is easy enough to turn the wheel. I was just wondering, if someday I wanted to, would I be able to get power steering for it? I'm sorry if it is the most common sense question ever, but I dont know much about the workings of cars....yet.
thanks alot everyone!

power steering is for sissy's . really not having power steering isn't a big deal at all. when your moving its just as easy to drive, and you get a better steering feel with it.

at low speeds it can be a pain, especially if you have some wide tires and heavy rims on it. but after a few weeks you get used to it.

you can also add power steering, but its more hassle than its worth. you would need a power steering rack, reservoir, pump, and the associated lines, then get the brackets and belt to mount the pump on your engine. there might be more to it than that, thats jsut the basics

My 95 DX got power steering swapped into it. Actually, a Del Sol was the donor car for a D16Z6, A/C, and power steering for the DX. One time in my old car, the P/S belt broke and I went without P/S for awhile. It kinda sucked after being used to it. I would rather have it than go without it.

My civic doesn't have power steering, and I love it! It gives the road a better feeling. To tell the truth, I cant even tell a difference anymore. Although it's wierd getting back into a car that has power steering. It feels too easy. I say no power steering FTW!!!

my eg has no power steering and i almost want to take it out of my truck just so i can feel the car better. If your all into no effort and luxuries go for it. If your more into the drive go without power steering, you will be closer with the car

It just blows really badly to have to do parking manuevers... likle pulling forward, back, forward, back... having a stick and power steering is the worst for that... because you have to wrench the wheel over as you're riding out the clutch and whatnot. My 97 dx felt like it accelerated as fast if not faster than my 95 si hatch... which supposedly has 20 more horsepower.
