o2 sensor

can i use the stock one or do i need one compliable to the exhaust im getting?

RE: o2 sensor

Regardless of what exhaust you are putting on, the O2 sensor should stay the same. Actually both of them should. There's one in the header and one right after the cat.

Be really careful with it though, they're easier to break than you'd think. They are also rather expensive (depending on your budget).

If you are just putting on a cat back, then you should have no problems and should not even have to mess with the #2 sensor. If you are replacing the headers, then you DO need to fool with it. Also the catylitic converter...

(other folks wanna provide some confirmation on this or tell me where I went wrong?)

yea just puttin a catback on there maybe some header's later on. i dont think they make em for 07's lx's yet.

If its a catback you dont need to mess with it. it all depends on what part your changing and where the sensor is located at.

RE: o2 sensor

they do make them for 07 lx's, but you have to look.

you also may want to reconsider your mods if you're worried about voiding your factory warranty. I'm almost positive that you will void it if you mod your exhaust system.

If this does not matter to you, then have at it. I suggest that you spend some time researching what aftermarket parts are the most effective and reasonable for your car. Nobody wants to have another fart can running around town. Find something that gives you reasonable increases in performence and yet is not so loud as to make people want to beat you senseless.

good luck...

RE: o2 sensor

warranty? whats that? lol.

RE: o2 sensor

^ haha, yea those guys have it right though. Catback has nothing to do with the o2 sensors, a header or high-flow cat does though, but a Magnaflow flow high-flow cat should work well, and most headers the stock o2 sensor is all you need, no modification at all.
