Offroad Civic Question...
I hope that this is the right palce to put this.
I have a 98 EX and I want to run it offroad a little (rally style). I have already put stiffer springs and shocks, upgraded the brakes, CAI, and a few other things. Other than those it is stock. What else should I do to run it offroad? |
RE: Offroad Civic Question...
You could get a WRX, that would be teh easiest way.

RE: Offroad Civic Question...
I know that I COULD get a WRX but why would I have posted on the Civic forum about my Civic if I was even thinking of getting a WRX. Dont get my wrong they are great cars. My friend got a 2004 STI and it kicks ass. However, I was asking what I could do to MY car. Thanks for posting though.

RE: Offroad Civic Question...
buy a helmet and find a SCCA RallyCross program in your area.
|
RE: Offroad Civic Question...
I was looking around on the SCCA website you had a link to and I cannot seem to find where the events are. Is there a list of upcoming events?
Thanks for your time. |
RE: Offroad Civic Question...
you have to find your region first. Most regions have a full event list and contact info on their website; though, not every region is doing RallyCross.
|
RE: Offroad Civic Question...
rallyx events are less common...u could check the main scca site and check to see wut class u'd be in or w/e with the mods u have, if they even do classes i dunno.
|
RE: Offroad Civic Question...
the classing is really simple, you would be up against any other FWD car, that is not stock, that is not a "rally car" (does not have a rally logbook)
In our region I want to say we have about as many rallycross events annually as we have autocross events... difference being, rallycross goes year-round, so they are less frequent |
RE: Offroad Civic Question...
i would get a lot of chasis renforcement. like strut bars and such.
|
RE: Offroad Civic Question...
damn i forgot that in my list of mods. I just finished a custom front strut brace. As far as the rest of the bracing, if I do the rear and then lower tie bars front and back, what else is there to brace?
