RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
Had my 02 Civic Lx coupe about 6 months now...it's all stock 5 spd with 70K miles. So far I've got 38-39 on highway and around 32 city give or take, and that's not driving very conservatively.
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
~33mpg for me
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
I've only filled up once since I've had my 97 DX, but I got about 30 in the city... And that's not conservative driving, this tank should be better, because I'm really trying not to speed.

RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
Winter: 22 city
Summer: 26 city/ 30-32 highway. Thats on a B18C1 with 11.5:1 Comp, and I/H/2.5 "Exhuast, IM, Crower Stage 3's, Hondata S200 street + dyno tuned, running 92/93 octane. It runs way rich in the winter, blowing black dots on the bumper...still trying to figure that one out. Maybe it just needs to warm up more. I'm pretty happy with the summer numbers though given the stock GSR gets about the same. |
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
^ I think most shops tune it to be a little rich to be on the safe side. If you had s300 they would be able to make more adjustments. Some people make adjustments for summer and winter.

RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
i'm so pissed off, typed all this stuff but can't even post it in duel posts....
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic

|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
see i get 41 on the highway but it is suppose to only get like 36 on the highway so i am doing alot better than i should i dont know what the reason for that is but i love my honda
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
~24-26 city, 30+ @80mph on the highway (flat highway) with gsr motor and a lot of bolt-ons. (~180whp)
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
I recorded mine two weeks ago and got 34 MPG, and this was shifting at 3k rpm and about.. 40% city driving and 60% Highway driving.
Of course, I was hypermiling a bit, but not too much. I need to slap on a H/E cause I only got an intake, then see what I can get for MPG lol. Gotta love the econobox D17s |
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
31 city 35 highway.. B16a
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
Ya it depends on how you drive it!! some people have lead foots ... but ive learned not to have one.. shift before the v-tec.. cuz vtec and pre vtec its basically 2 diff motors lol long as u keep it off the vtec

RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
I think there's something seroiously wrong with my civic, it's a 1999 Automatic HX, and I don't even get 25mpg.
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
yea 25mpg is low for ANY civic, especially an HX. you might want to get that checked out. doesnt the hx get like 40mpg typically?
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
Yeah, i've considered all my options, right now I just crashed the car, so I'm using all my money to fix it, and I'm doing a complete complete tune up, including some aftermarket parts for better mileage. with gas expensive as it is, every mpg helps
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
My 99 HX M/T gets me 50 to 52 mpg hwy at 70 mph [found from tank fills on a long road trip]. Weekly work tanks at 80% hwy are 40 to 45 mpg.
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
Auto 98 lx gets 22 in the city :( around 28 on the freeway, going 75
|
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic

I was getting about 23 on 95% hard city driving w/a.c. on and a sh*tty upstream o2 sensor.
Ever since I changed out the faulty o2 sensor, I get about what the EPA estimates I should be getting(26 city-33 hwy)..... actually Im doing a bit better on the hwy then they estimate, probably about 35....... Ive only gone two tanks since I did the o2 sensor, I bet I can do better! Attachment 25986 |
RE: post your gas mileage on your civic
