okay guys here's some questions. a friend wants to trade some parts for a civic for some of my MR2 parts. well, he has a .48 trim t3/t4 innovative turbo kit, w/ manifold, external wastegate(turboXS), fmic, piping, oil lines, greddy type S bov, down pipe and then some 15" Rota slipstreams gunmetal w/ bad Falkens.

now, w/ all that listed, and keep in mind used, what would that lot be worth? the turbo is in good shape, no shaft play, the rims are good, little rock chips but nothing extreme.

im looking for a base price on all, just to get an idea of what all of its worth. he wants to trade for a turbo MR2 longblock pretty much w/ all new parts and accessories.

 

ballpark, somewhere around 1500-1800 depending on the condition of everything

 

1500-2000 it's hard to say. like mxs said it all depends on the condition.make sure u check 4 shaft play on the turbo b4 u make ur decision.

the turbo kit is deffinately used, probably 20k miles on it or so. alot of the turbo kit is there in good shape, but items like hose clamps/couplers seem home made or sourced from HomeDepo. custom"home made" DP on a flange. exhaust mani has some wear and tear on it. some corrosion. wheels are in good shape, just some rock chips.

im not saying the stuff isn't good, but its deffiantely used. some dings and paint chips on items, but not like its not fixable. now, a basic OEM MR2 turbo short block is 1500-1700 from toyota. i have a reconditioned block, hand polished crank/pistons, and brand new accessories along w/ race bearings. all standard.

does that seem like a fair trade? im also throwing in a head as well in the deal.

 

what civic is this turbo going on? don't forget u will still need to buy fuel management and get it tuned. that will run u roughly another 1000 or so.

 

the turbo would be going on my D15vtec. he has an FMU=crap, that would go w/ the kit, but for the most part the kit is mainly the turbo, manifold, fmic, and piping. of course i'd get fuel management in order to run it saftely.

all in all, idk if the kid wants to trade, but i deffinately wanted to know if it would a decent straight up trade for both sides.
